According to the world Health Organization, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is considered as the most dangerous crippling disease resulting in the degradation of one’s lifestyle. The major symptoms of this disease are mental stress and troubled state of mind that leads to disturbed feelings.

The disease results in unusual fear, beliefs and rituals which ruins the healthy life span of the person leading to real life problems.
The person considers a certain number to be his lucky number and follows it in all the things he does. He takes bath everyday lucky number of times, sets alarm to his lucky number, closing and opening the door certain number of times, switching the lights on and off to several number of times and so on.
The patients also involve in lot of other unusual works like rubbing the handle of the door every time outsider uses it, uncontrollable cleaning of hands to an extent they become red, taking longer steps while walking to prevent the cracks on the side, moving the hands over the floor or walls of the room before leaving it etc. All these characteristics may totally take over the life of the person.
Causes of the disorder
According to Medical Science, Obsessive Compulsive disorder does not have any determined causes but most of the case studies of the patients affected by this disease show that troubled state of mind and confusion leads to this disease. Doctors who have treated these patients consider that lack of control of the mind is the root cause of this disease. Also, if the patients have experienced any unusual happenings during their childhood, their brains get affected resulting in Obsessive Compulsive disorder. Thus the disease is rooted during the childhood and slowly spread its symptoms later in the patients’ life.
